A fine 18ct yellow gold Patek Philippe perpetual calendar wristwatch Ref: 5059J with ‘Officer’ style hinged case back from 2001.

” The Patek Philippe Ref:5059 was first released in 1998 and produced for only 8 years. It featured perpetual calendar and retrograde date”

– Paul Maudsley

The yellow gold case of this present watch is beautifully designed and has the officer style case which has a hinged back. Inside in the self-winding caliber 315 S-QR with its 21ct gold rotor. The retrograde date complication means at the end of each month, the date hand automatically jumps back to its original starting point – a difficult function to achieve in watchmaking.

This 18ct yellow gold example is in wonderful condition seeing very little wear over its lifetime. It was sold here in the UK in January 2001. Coming from the original owner and complete with its Patek Philippe deployant clasp, original wooden Patek Philippe box, swing tag, Patek Philippe automatic winding box, Certificate of Origin and booklet.

£28,000.
