” The Patek Philippe Chronograph Ref:5070 was first released at the Basel fair in 1998,”
– Paul Maudsley
The Ref:5070 was the first new chronograph released by Patek Philippe without a calendar function since the original Ref:1463. The Ref:5070 has a central chronograph seconds hand and a 30-minute register at three o’clock.
This was the final Patek Philippe chronograph to use the famous Lemania caliber 2310 ébauche, (movement) renamed as the caliber CH 27-70 CHR.
This 18ct white gold example features a stunning dial with applied Arabic numerals. The watch is in excellent condition and was sold here in the UK in December 2001 and comes from the original owner. It is complete with its Patek Philippe 18ct white gold deployant clasp, Patek Philippe strap, wooden Patek Philippe box, Certificate of Origin, booklet and swing tag.
An iconic Patek Philippe chronograph where you won’t find a better example here in the U.K or Europe at this price.
